Roll up, compadres, to the iconic and legendary Coorabell Hall for the Summer Of Love Ball, featuring the infamous and magnetising Rapskallion.
The ’Skallions will come hot-hoofing from their New Years performances at Falls Festival to infuse Coorabell with a delectable feast of 21st century buccaneering blues sonnets, sprinkled with travellers’ tales, and gypsy rock ’n’ roll.
Recently Rapskallion were awarded Best Musical Act at the Adelaide Fringe Festival for their three rabble-rousing shows at the Idolize Spiegel tent in the Garden of Unearthly Delights.
They have performed at many of Australia’s top music festivals including The National Folk Festival, Rainbow Serpent, Woodford Folk Festival and Folk Rhythm and Life. They have also completed residencies at the Famous Spiegel Tent and the National Gallery of Victoria.
They have toured internationally, in the UK and Europe, performing at well-known music festivals including Fusion Festival in Germany, the Secret Garden Party, Glade, Sunrise, Edinburgh Fringe, The Hat Fair UK and Aurillac International Street Theatre Festival in France.
Rapskallion have been peddling their indisputable blend of junkyard blues, gypsy romance, and down dirty piratical rock for many a moon around the globe and are feeling very joyous to be returning to Byron.
We can expect an evening of swaggering joie de vivre with their own nefarious blend of vaudevillian, buccaneering blues folk rock and wonky waltzes in this special sideshow.
It all happens on Friday and promises to be a night of ridiculous sensuality and rocking roguery so don’t miss them for an amazing night at Coorabell.
