More than 200 dancers from Brunswick Valley School of Dance put on an end-of-year spectacular at the Murwillumbah Civic centre over November 19 and 20.

The concert was made up of 50 individual dances and the themes of the concert were The Little Mermaid and The Wizard of Oz, according to school owner Ruby Jeffery.

‘The second part of the show was a general showcase of the students, including many dancers who have won awards in local competitions,’ she said.

‘All the students have spent the year learning their routines at our school in Brunswick Heads. We were very proud of all the students over the weekend,’ she said.

The performances were watched by more than 1,000 siblings, parents and other well-wishers.
