
Updated, 3pm: The Traffic Management Centre reports that all lanes of the Pacific Highway are now open at Mororo, north of Grafton, after an earlier car and motorcycle crash.
Original report: The Pacific Highway is closed in both directions at Mororo, north of Maclean, due to a car and motorcycle crash.
Emergency services are at the site of the crash, near Tullymorgan-Jackybulbin Road.
Westpac Rescue Helicopter landed at the site at about 2.30pm.
Its spokesperson reports that the 40-year-old motor cyclist is being treated by paramedics and the helicopter’s clinical team and will be be flown to Lismore Base Hospital with multiple leg fractures.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area as traffic is heavy and there is no diversion.
Motorists can use Summerland Way and the Bruxner Highway instead.
