I popped into the Brunswick public toilets last week and got such a lovely surprise. They had been renovated to a first world standard.
While the bickering was unfolding between Jan Barham, MP Tamara Smith and Byron Council over the Mitchell’s Rainforest Snail and bypass last year, someone was getting on with the job of fixing this toilet block which had stood decaying for years. Previous Councils had allowed it to deteriorate to a state which made locals fearful that the roof might cave in on them upon entry.
A huge shout out to Simon Richardson and his team for fixing the toilets. I will be grateful for the rest of my years in the Shire. Praise given where earned!
