Lismore has seen one new case of COVID-19 reported in the 24 hours to 8pm 26 October.
‘This case is in the Lismore Local Government Area, is linked to a known case and is under investigation,’ said Lynne Weir, Acting Chief Executive Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD).
‘This brings the total number of cases in the District since 16 June to 122.’
Hospital visitor restrictions
‘Visiting restrictions at hospitals across NNSWLHD are again being eased in a staged approach,’ said Ms Weir.
‘A patient may now have two fully-vaccinated visitors once a day for one hour, between the hours of 1pm and 6pm.’
Visitors must be at least 12 years of age, and must comply with entry screening requirements and wear a mask while on site.
You cannot visit if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, are a close contact of a confirmed case (or are within their isolation period), live in a household with a person who is currently isolating, if they are waiting for a COVID-19 test result or have visited any case locations.
‘Exemptions will continue to be managed at the site level on a case by case basis for compassionate or extenuating circumstances, for example in the case of palliative care,’ said Ms Weir.
There are no changes to existing support arrangements for women accessing birthing services.
