I enjoyed Simon Haslam’s groundbreaking report in last week’s Echo on Dave Osborn’s remarkable achievement; that of parking in all the parking spots in Mullum’s Woolies. That he also impressed a teenage daughter is even more amazing.
For a moment I was inspired to attempt the challenge at Bairnsdale’s Woolies; the car park of which must be three times the capacity of Mullum’s. Then I realised it would involve me getting in my car and going somewhere.
I hope Simon will be commissioned to report on the annual Lewis Carroll Awards, which requires competitors to believe as many impossible things as possible before breakfast. I understand the world record is 28 and is held by Rainbow Tamari Moonbeam of Palmwoods Upper.

For four decades The Echo has printed the stories some people loved, some people hated, and some pretended not to read. If you want us to keep telling the truth, the real truth, not the sugar-coated version. We’ll need your support to keep the presses rolling.
