‘I’m so surprised, I don’t know what to say,’ Raitt said in her acceptance speech.

‘It’s a song about organ donation…I don’t write a lot of songs, but I’m so pleased you appreciate this one.’

Bluesfest Director Peter Noble said Blues fans across the country would be celebrating Raitt’s triple win.

‘Not only is Bonnie Raitt a consummate musician and songwriter, Blues guitarist and singer, but she also walks the walk,’ Mr Noble said.

Bonnie also won Best Americana Performance for Made Up Mind and Best American Roots Song for Just Like That

Bonnie Raitt will be performing at Byron Bay Bluesfest on Sunday April 9 and Monday April 10.
