What is the best route from Park Lane to Cooper Close, Lennox Head? Image supplied

Creating the right pathways and connectivity between town and residential areas ensures that everyone gets what they need. Ballina Shire Council are asking Lennox Head locals for their opinion on the best route for a proposed shared pathway between Park Lane and Cooper Close, Lennox Head.

Four shared path options have been identified. While each alignment has its own characteristics, all options begin at Park Lane and extend to the Fig Tree Hill Drive/Ross Lane intersection.

‘The proposed shared path will improve connectivity between the Lennox Head town centre and outlying residential areas such as Sanctuary Village and Fig Tree Hill Drive, while also improving cyclist and pedestrian safety,’ said Council’s Manager Engineering Works, Paul Busmanis.

‘We’ve been fortunate to receive co-funding from the NSW government to prepare a detailed design and obtain planning approvals for this project.’

Residents can provide feedback on the four path options at yoursayballina.com.au/lennox-head-shared-path.

Submissions close Friday 1 September 2023. For enquiries contact the Civil Services Division on 1300 864 444.
