A report will be prepared for the Coroner after a body was pulled from the water at the notoriously dangerous Dalwood Falls, about 14km west of Ballina on Sunday.
About 2.30pm Sunday, 17 September, 2023 emergency services were called to Dalwood Falls on Dalwood Road, Dalwood, following reports a man had jumped into the water and had not resurfaced.
Following an extensive search by NSW Police, NSW SES, NSW RFS and NSW Ambulance, a man’s body was recovered from the water about 2.30pm today (Monday 18 September 2023).
While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of a 23-year-old man.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
