The rain and thunderstorms predicted for this weekend have led to the postponement of the Sunday Housing Forum ‘House You’ to Thursday, 9 November at Mullumbimby’s Stan Robinson Park say organisers.
Due to the thunderstorms predicted on Sunday, we have to raincheck our beautiful village activation as we cannot fulfill the planned activities: food forest planting, workshops, community conversations, healing tent and live music in the rain,’ said organiser Chels Hood Withey.
‘We are hosting the House You Forum, a facilitated community conversation answering the question “How do we get everyone a house?” at 9am Thursday, November 9 before we present the Village Proposal and Community Needs to the Byron Shire Council Planning Meeting at 11am.’
‘After the BSC meeting, we will be feeding the community with a free lunch. We encourage everyone to join this conversation as this is an opportunity to share your voice, ideas and solutions to get everyone a house.’
