The Australian Pro Adaptive Surfing Championships are set down for Byron Bay on 17-22 March this year, and organisers are calling for volunteers across various roles.
Volunteers will be able to choose areas that align with their skills and interests but priority areas include: in-water support (helping competitors in the water and helping to get them back on the boards, for example); on the beach (transfers across the beach to the water, and in and out of wheelchairs) and the event site (set-up, pack-down and managing food stalls and athlete needs).
Saturday, 16 March will be the date for the the event site to be setup before the opening ceremony at 3pm on Sunday 17 March.
The competition runs from Monday 18 March until the closing presentation at 6pm on Friday 22 March.
