Want to help locally to care for our environment and plant trees for our wildlife?
Byron Shire Chemical Free Landcare’s next working bee will be on Saturday, February 24, from 8 am until 12.30pm.
Co-organiser, Nadia de Souza Pietramale, says, ‘We will be planting 200 trees at a new site, 40 Azalea Street, Mullumbimby. Park on the road and walk down the long concrete driveway and you can’t miss us. The task is to dig holes and plant 200 tree tube stocks. The site is already mulched, the soil is soft, and tools and a first aid kit will be on site’.
‘Please wear a long-sleeved shirt and pants for sun protection. Bring a hat, gloves and bring water and some morning tea for a picnic at 10:30am’.
