Three teens will face court today charged over alleged break and enter, pursuit and malicious damage incidents on the state’s North Coast.
On Saturday, 10 February, a LDV utility was allegedly stolen from a Brunswick Heads address.
Police will allege that the vehicle was subsequently involved in several pursuits and other offences over the following weeks.
About 2.35am on Monday (26 February, 2024), a service station on Yamba Road, Yamba, was allegedly ransacked with cash, food and cigarettes stolen.
About 4.40am yesterday (Tuesday, 27 February, 2024), a bowling club on the Pacific Highway at Broadwater was allegedly graffitied and damaged.
A short time later, two vehicles parked at Coraki Police Station – one of which is a police vehicle – were allegedly extensively vandalised.
About 1pm officers from the Richmond Proactive Crime Team and Richmond Criminal Investigations, assisted by Rural Crime Investigators, executed search warrants at two properties on Spring Street, Coraki.
During the search warrants, police allegedly located and seized a number of items linked to the incidents and the LDV utility was recovered after being located in nearby bushland. It has been seized for forensic examination.
Three teenage boys were arrested before being taken to Lismore Police Station.
A 16-year-old was charged with two counts of destroy or damage property, two counts of be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

A third boy, aged 15, was charged with recklessly deal with proceeds of crime.
All three were refused bail to appear before a children’s court today (Wednesday, 28 February, 2024).
