Six dwellings proposed on flood-prone Mullum block

Six units are proposed at the eastern end of New City Road, Mullumbimby, on a site that was inundated during the 2022 floods. Submitted by Duncan Band's Kollective, Development Application (DA) 10.2026.269.1 at 73 New City Road is on public exhibition with Byron Shire Council, and sits within the Shire's flood planning area.

Community Gateway has been operating as a registered charity since 1976, providing services across the Northern Rivers. This is what’s coming up at Lismore’s neighbourhood centre.

Mums & bubs free inclusive playgroup

Community Gateway is hosting a free regular morning tea and inclusive playgroup, for children aged 0-3 years, their parents and carers, today. Wednesday 16 October, 9:30-11:30am in Goonellabah.

Community support in Goonellabah

Residents can receive a range of free support services in Goonellabah, on Tuesday 22 October from 1-4pm. Supports include energy bill assistance, chemist and retail vouchers, food boxes and access to a range of other support services. Bookings essential.

Free community lunch

Community Gateway is hosting a regular community lunch the first Friday each month. All are welcome to come and connect, enjoy a free barbecue with vegetarian options, cakes, snacks and coffees. Produce is generously donated by Brad’s Butchers and Southside Bakery.

Next lunch is Friday 1 November, 10:30am to 12pm at 76 Carrington Street Lismore.
