Right across the planet, the soccer World Cup is grandstanding multiculturalism in all its splendour!
It’s a great kick in the guts for all the anti-woke, anti-immigrant, anti-diversity, neo-fascist right (wrong) wing conservatives who have hijacked the Divided States of America and much of the western world.
Here in Australia, the World Cup could not have been better timed to coincide with Hanson’s ludicrous idea of monoculturalism.
SBS is the national broadcaster of the World Cup.
The same SBS Hanson wants to get rid of. Its on-air presence must be a constant reminder to her of how multicultural Australia really is, despite her pathological need to make it otherwise.
Imagine if every woman in Australia thought and looked like Pauline Hanson and every man in Australia thought and looked like Barnaby Joyce.
Now that’s monoculture. Hairdressers would go mad dyeing the grey roots of endless queues of red-heads.
And dentists would be driven berserk having to straighten, extract and clean an endless procession of badly-neglected teeth!
And can you imagine these Hanson-Joyce lookalikes filling restaurants, all with the same monocultural menu? Chowing down on ‘chops and two veg’ or ‘bangers and mash’, with ‘fish and chips’ on Friday? Chardonnay-sipping mashed-avocado eating lefties would be reduced to small cohorts meeting secretly in basements to talk about anything but the weather!
Hanson’s mono-vision dystopia means SBS will be closed down, the beloved ABC reduced to a subscription streaming service. Gina Rinehart-owned media will rule the airwaves. What these fundamentalists don’t realise is that SBS and the ABC are the Australian culture!
Without them, this nation would be a cultural desert. Hanson said, ‘I didn’t change… Australia did’. Well let’s hope we didn’t change that much. Federal Labor, the independents and the Greens are really the only adults left in the room.
