NSW Police say that two women have been charged following an alleged armed robbery recently in the area.
At about 6.15pm on Sunday, July 12, police staff were called to a convenience store on Woodlark Street, Lismore following reports of an armed robbery.
Officers attached to Richmond Police District where told three unknown people allegedly entered the store before a staff member – a 25-year-old man – was threatened by a member of the group with a knife.
Cash and store items stolen
The group allegedly stole an amount of cash along with other items on the shelves, before leaving the scene in an SUV. The man was uninjured.
A crime scene was established and police commenced an investigation into the incident.
Following inquires, about 6.50pm the same day, police arrested two women – aged 23 and 24 – at a home on Rosegum Drive, Goonellabah, and taken to Lismore Police Station.
About 11.35pm the same day police attended the same home and executed a search warrant where a firearm, Nissan SUV, two mobile phones and cannabis were allegedly located and seized for a forensic examination.
Both women were charged with robbery in company.
They were refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 1 on Monday 13 July 2026, where they were formally refused to appear before Lismore Local Court on Wednesday 16 September 2026.
