A 27-year old man is recovering from his injuries after his car ran into a tree on Mayall Creek Road, Coraki, early this afternoon (Wednesday).
A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said they received a call to the scene at about 1.45pm where they found the driver and sole occupant of the car out of the vehicle. It was unclear whether the man had climbed out of his own accord or been thrown from the vehicle but the spokesperson said judging from his injuries it was most likely he had clambered out.
Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter also attended the scene but after inspection the patient was determined to be in a stable condition, although complained of some lower abdominal pain.
The driver was taken by road ambulance to Lismore Base Hospital with the assistance of the helicopter’s medical crew.
