Police have charged five men following an investigation into a spate of break and enters in the Lismore area recently.
Strike Force Koraus was established last month by detectives attached to Richmond Local Area Command to investigate several break and enters.
Police say that around 11am yesterday (Thursday), officers executed simultaneous search warrants at Keen Street, Lismore, and Fischer Street, Goonellabah.
During the search a number of items, believed to be stolen, were found including computers, ipads, tools, coin collection, camping and sporting equipment.
All items were seized for forensic examination.
The men were arrested and taken to Lismore police station where they were charged.
A 32-year-old man was charged with breaking and entering a house and stealing more than $60,000, six counts of aggravated break and enter with intent in company, three counts of aggravated break and enter and committing serious indictable offence in company.
A 23-year-old man was charged with breaking and entering house and stealing more than $60,000, 10 counts of aggravated break and enter with intent in company, four counts of aggravated break and enter and committing a serious indictable offence in company, receiving/disposing of stolen property and supplying a prohibited drug.
A 27-year-old man was charged with breaking and entering a house and stealing more than $60,000, and conspiracy to commit break, enter and steal.
All three men were refused bail to appear at Lismore Local Court today (Friday).
A 21-year-old man was charged with supplying a prohibited drug.
An 18-year-old man was charged with receiving/disposing stolen property.
Both men were granted conditional bail to appear at Lismore Local Court on Monday, 29 August.
