4. Lismore Regional Gallery and the Quad
Lismore Regional Gallery is one of the longest-running cultural organisations in the Northern Rivers. They have an innovative and inclusive artistic program, and present bold exhibitions and unique public programs for everyone. Their vision is to be a place for everybody, and they are committed to bringing the community on a shared journey of making and engaging in contemporary art. Adjacent to the gallery is the Lismore Quadrangle, a dynamic community space with a curated program of cultural events. The Quad is an outdoor green space for new work to be developed, presented, and enjoyed by all, right in the heart of Lismore.

5. Vistara Primary School
Vistara Primary School’s grounding in ecological education is evident everywhere in the beautiful, colourful classrooms and surrounds. This school engages students to further develop and broaden their ability to extend their intellectual and emotional connections between their personal worlds (of home, school, community and locality) with the Earth as a living whole. The school’s compassionate culture is also expressed in their daily yoga, meditation, and relaxation practices, and in their adherence to a vegetarian/vegan diet within the school. The ‘enquiry based learning’ approach could be seen everywhere; from students learning through nature-based play, to their beautiful and stimulating learning environments.

6. Friends of Lismore Rainforest Botanic Gardens
Unwind this summer in the Lismore Rainforest Botanic Gardens, on Bundjalung Country. Their cool shaded forest walks and a cubby for the little ones will keep the whole family entertained. Native ground covers, understorey plants and vines are all encouraged in this regenerated rainforest. Book a one-hour Guided Walk with a group of friends or family. Simply email [email protected] to request a time or ring 0450 596 705. Gold coin donation appreciated. Self-guided walk brochures are also available at the Visitor’s Centre. Join the nursery and work groups at the Gardens every Wednesday 8am to 11am, (no workdays from 16 Dec to 4 January). The Gardens will be closed on public holidays, but otherwise open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm and on weekends 9am to 4pm.

8. Northern Rivers Stained Glass

9. Book Warehouse
Book Warehouse is an independently owned bookstore in Lismore and part of a larger north coast locally owned group, with shops in Coffs Harbour, Ballina and Grafton. 10. The Rainbow Health Centre
The Rainbow Health Centre was established in Lismore in 1983 by renowned naturopath Chris Russell. After her well earned retirement at the end of 2018, naturopaths Lee Vassella and Anna Lusty have now taken on the practice, having worked with and been mentored by Chris for almost twenty years. They are joined by naturopath Claire Patterson, and together the three are continuing to help clients achieve and maintain the best of health. Treatments are tailored to the individual and encompass several modalities including homeopathy, herbal medicine and nutrition. The centre continues to offer electrodermal screening, with an upgraded Bioscan system. This tool helps to collect information from the body which may help to identify areas of weakness or overactivity, as well as food or environmental sensitivities.
