Police are investigating the theft of items from a damaged yacht near Yamba.

The Bruxner highway has been re-opened in both directions following a crash this morning between two vehicles at South Gundurimba approximately 10 km south of Lismore.

Initial investigations suggest that the southbound vehicle crossed over onto the northbound side possibly due to fatigue.

All three people involved in the crash were treated by paramedics at the scene and have been taken to Lismore Base Hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the north bound vehicle has stabilised and should be released in the next few days. The driver of the south bound vehicle is in a serious condition that is not life threatening at this stage.
