The Westpac Life Saver Helicopter attended a woman suffering from head injuries at Clarkes Beach in Byron Bay today.
A medical team was winched into location. The team treated the patient at the scene and she was intubated on the beach and reported in a critical condition.
The female patient, of unknown age, was then extracted and flown by helicopter to Gold Coast University Hospital
The patient is suffering head injuries and remains unconscious.
