Data from the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees revealed that even if ten per cent of women retired early because of menopausal symptoms it would lead to a loss of earnings and super of more than $17 billion.

Greens Senator Larissa Waters launched a senate Inquiry into Perimenopause and Menopause which will be happening later in the year.

‘I think it’s time we had some federal policy on the health impacts, the awareness in the health sector and amongst women and people who menstruate, of the symptoms of perimenopause,’ said Ms Waters.

Submissions for the Inquiry that reports in September are sought by 15 March 2024.

Menopause Town Hall

Mandy Nolan is hosting a zoom Town Hall with Larissa Waters on Monday 11 March at 8pm (7pm Qld).
