Whilst the Mullumbimby RSL Sub-Branch acknowledges the death of Zomi Francom as tragic, so too are the deaths of all civilian and military personnel as a result of military conflict. The Sub-Branch would like to reinforce the purpose of the National Peacekeepers Commemorative Service, held by the RSL Sub-Branch on 14 September. That is to acknowledge and honour the sacrifices made by all Australian Defence Force personnel and Australian Federal Police personnel who are deployed on behalf of the Australian government as part of Australia’s commitment to global peacekeeping operations.
The Mullumbimby RSL Sub-Branch conducts all commemorative services on behalf of RSL NSW who remain apolitical. These services are conducted for the specific purpose of honouring all former and current veterans and their families and in particular local Mullumbimby veterans of all conflicts.
