Judy Wright’s side got up, but by not enough to take the other side with them, so Ocean Shores were the victors.

*** A reminder that afternoon tea will be held 3.30pm following bowls on Tuesday April 9 as a belated Easter celebration and end of pennant for the year. This is the first day back to our normal bowling time of 1pm. All bowling members welcome.

Kingscliff Men

Club Championship News: Open Pairs: In Semifinal 1, Keith Dawson and Ian Taylor jumped to an early lead over Bob Watson and Steve Quinn and maintained the lead for a comfortable win. In Semifinal 2, Ross Julius and Brian Turner had a come from behind win over Peter Murphy and Mike Richards. Therefore the final will see Keith Dawson and Ian Taylor play Ross Julius and Brian Turner. Date to be advised.

Pennants News: Round One commences this Saturday 6 April and teams have been selected in all six divisions which Kingscliff will be contesting. Please check the board each week for teams. The selectors are very appreciative of the number of players who put their names forward to play. Division One plays Cabarita at Cabarita. Division Two plays Byron Bay at Byron Bay. Division Four plays Cabarita at Kingscliff. Division Five plays Pottsville at Pottsville. Division Six plays Cudgen at Cudgen. Division Seven plays Ocean Shores at Kingscliff.
