Flood insurance inquiry’s North Coast hearings

A public hearing into insurers’ responses to the 2022 flood was held in Lismore last Thursday, with one local insurance brokerage business owner describing the compact that exists between insurers and society as ‘broken’.

We cannot afford, as a nation, to allow the ignorant prejudice of this misguided man to continue in the role of prime minister.

We should be glad, very glad, that ZM (Zaky Mallah) was on air displaying his unnerving similarities of words, thoughts and attitudes as the pre-exposures of the Lindt Cafe hostage-taker-cum murderer.

Now the federal police and other relevant bodies are well warned and forearmed to keep close and careful watch to ensure the same does not repeat.

Q&A is an outstanding  quality program, with Tony Jones its world class moderator.

Let us hope wisdom and sanity prevail; find the quick and obvious replacement for the idiot trying to reduce quality programming to an idiot box in his own reflection.

May the ABC not be spooked by a lowly Abbott – one voice calling the wrong shots.

He’s calling for the board to be removed. He is the one who should be removed, ASAP, preferably sooner.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.

  1. The scariest person in Australia is Tony ”the terrorist” Abbott dedicated to dividing our communities into nasty little sterotypes and wedging every issue – an ideologue who hates anything clean or Green or innovative, the dinosaur living in a warped 50’s mindset. When you can’t win an argument banishing the critics is the next best thing. The Abbott team are definately fighting for the other side and putting Australian interests last – Perhaps Tony should be declared an enemy of the people and have his citzenship revoked and sent back the old country – Old Blighty can deal with the neo-con zealot. Abbott the Terror’s solution for us difficult folk is rather extreme and environmental activists should be very worried by the lost of civil rights waved through this current parliament.

I don’t think the country can survive another year with these idiots at the helm, it would be so much easier to just tell Tony to go back to where he came from!
