Do you spend time in Lennox Head? Then have your say on how its main street will look in the future.
Ballina Council and the Lennox Head Chamber of Commerce are running an online survey to find out what the community would like as part of an upgraded town centre for Lennox Head.
Options of a one or two way street system, parking, parks, footpaths, shared pedestrian and car zones and land scaping are all being considered as part of the upgrade.
The Lennox Village Vision (LVV) study area is bounded to the east by the beach foreshore and residences, to the north and south by residential areas and to the west by Williams Reserve.
‘The LVV project seeks to progress this work by facilitating wider community input into determining priorities for the village,’ said Ballina Council’s sustainability planner Skye McNamara.
‘A community survey is currently open to facilitate wider community comment and will be available until the 20 June 2018. The LVV project seeks to progress this work by facilitating wider community input into determining priorities for the village.
‘Feedback received though this engagement will be collated and reported to the elected Council in the coming months to assist in decision making around the future scope and costs involved in an upgrade of the Lennox Head village centre, particularly with respect to future master planning and design works for the public domain.’
The survey is open until Wednesday, June 20. Fill out the survey here or find out more online at the Lennox Village Vision.
