As a retired Major I am delighted to report the honour of meeting Australian RSL Branch members with some of their dear wives at Mullumbimby Ex-Services Club, and Brunswick Head Bowling Club.
We were able to exchange memories in our shared history of two world wars, and actions since.
These meetings have been one of the highlights of my visit to Australia to see my son, grandsons and their dear mother.
Should these successful meetings encourage other RSL Branches to meet the Ex-Servicemen of the allies of Australia, I should love to hear of it.
