Work will be carried out at night from 6pm to 6am from Monday 13 May. Image supplied

Overnight traffic conditions will change on May 13 at Boyds Bay Bridge on Minjungbal Drive.

‘Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions next week on Minjungbal Drive to carry out maintenance work on Boyds Bay Bridge, Tweed Heads South,’ said a spokesperson for NSW Transport.

‘To minimise the impact to motorists, work will be carried out at night from 6pm to 6am from Monday 13 May and is expected to be completed in four nights, weather permitting.

‘This night work requires a temporary closure of the Kennedy Drive off-ramp and a detour will be in place during this work.’

Motorists exiting the off-ramp will be detoured via Wharf Street and must take an exit onto Boyd Street and must then take a right onto Florence Street and a right back onto Wharf Road and continue South to take the Kennedy Drive exit.

‘Motorists should allow up to five minutes extra travel time, are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

‘Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.’
