Police are appealing for public assistance after a woman was sexually assaulted at South Lismore.
About 11pm on Friday 27 September 2013, a 37-year-old woman was walking on Casino Street, when she was approached by an unknown man from behind.
She was pushed to the ground and sexually assaulted.
The woman kicked the man and ran home.
Police have been told the woman was drinking at a hotel on Casino Street earlier in the night, before leaving the premises with two men and a woman to go to a nearby house.
The woman was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the incident is underway and detectives from Richmond Local Area Command are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
