GetUp! video promoting the day of action to coincide with the UN climate summit

To coincide with a global UN climate summit in New York, Sunday September 21 will see a global day of action in what is anticipated to be the world’s largest ever climate protest.

A fun day of peaceful protest for all ages will be taking place in Lismore.

People are asked to wear rainbow colors and bring musical instruments, whistles, streamers and balloons for a march around the town and rally.

There’ll be speakers, stalls, children’s games, live music, workshops and lots more fun and climate action games.

People are asked to meet in Spinks Park (behind the Transit Centre in Molesworth Street) at 12pm for a 12.30pm start to the March.
