Police continue to investigate how a woman sustained serious injuries in Tweed Heads on Sunday evening (Sunday January 5).
About 9pm , the woman was walking home from pub on Wharf Street when she was approached by a man.
The woman quickly walked to a home on Enid Street where she was later found injured.
It is not yet known how she sustained the injuries.
The woman was taken to Tweed Hospital with serious head injuries, where she remains in a stable condition.
Police are calling for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
