Last Saturday the boys and girls junior grade-16 division one teams played their grandfinals over at Dunoon for the Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley Football Club, and each came away with a trophy.
The girls went nail and tong with minor premiers Pottsville and after an epic battle came away with a 1–0 victory.
‘The song was sung, the party has begun and huge congratulations go out to all those involved,’ MBVFC secretary Kol Dimond said.
The boys lost a hard fought match to their arch-rivals Lismore Thistles 2–1, but still got to take home the minor premiers trophy after such a super season, he said.
‘With so much emphasis in recent years being placed onto our youth and female development at the club it was so rewarding to have both our top boys and girls junior teams in the finals’.
