A man has died after being pulled from the water on the state’s north coast today.
Just after 11am on Thursday, 3 May, emergency services were called to Kingscliff Creek at Kingscliff, after reports a man had been found unconscious in the water.
The 78-year-old man was pulled from the water, and CPR was commenced until emergency services took over, but he was unable to be revived.
Officers from Tweed/Byron Police District commenced inquiries into the incident and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
A post mortem will determine the cause of the man’s death.
