Sapoty Brook, Mullumbimby

Many people are giving up hope, saying we have left action against emissions too late.

I reckon there is still a chance of stopping catastrophic climate change if WE ALL go to zero emissions fast enough and implement lots of drawdown.org and maybe do stratospheric sulphur dioxide in the arctic too to stop the permafrost melt.

Anyway it would be immoral not to try.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.

  1. Zero or near zero emissions is a must. The IPCC – the U.N.’s Intergovernmental
Panel on Climate Change – warns us that we are ‘cooking the planet’. We’ve
got to stop burning coal & Adani must not be supported, full stop. If you feel as
    strongly as I do – PHONE THE PM. (02 – 6277 – 7700). Yes, you’ll get a staffer
(I got one) who may even agree with you. The call’s probably recorded but, so
what. Isn’t the planet worth it????
