After the loss of our public road during the February 28 deluge, some isolated residents have had to rely on the kindness of vehicle drivers who offer lifts into town.
It is these people I wish to sincerely thank. They are always generous in dropping me off where I wish to go.
It will be another three months at least before the possibility of public vehicle access to all properties isolated; after which we will have to re-establish private accesses and clear away fallen power lines and telephone poles.
So in anticipation of many more lifts in and out of town, I thank you in advance.
