This morning around 10am the ‘Brunswick Buccaneers’ pirate ship moored across from the Brunswick Hotel sunk.
Onlookers say around 15-20 people were queuing at the pleasure boat hire business when the weight collapsed the ship in shallow water. There are no reports of injuries.
Apparently the owner was helping people on the water and didn’t realise that so many people came aboard. They are currently unloading the pirate ship to lose weight.
Arrrrrrh
Damn the land lubbers
Man the lifeboats
I thought that was a picture of the lifeboat! Even Pirate Ships have been effected by shrink-flation. Oh well, save the beer and that one fish we caught……and something about ‘women and children’.
Common sense is truly becoming uncommon.
Two generations of children not allowed to play in ways that cause occasional broken bones, equals adults that can’t feel when the centre of gravity of the object they are standing on begins to shift.
Or read a maximum load sign.. or consider basic capacity vs load. Sad.
What a sad event that typifies Brunswick at the moment. The whole village is sinking under the weight of way too many inconsiderate tourists. Brunswick is totally parked out and yesterday our gear was moved at Torakina Beach while we were swimming by a lady who wanted to be under the shade. Seems like the only place you can get some space these days is the once popular Bruns Pub.
