As part of the Federal Park Party celebrations this Saturday October 25 Bridget and Monica, the talented little sisters of recent The Voice finalists Gabriel and Cecelia Brandolini, will be playing, not Gabriel and Cecelia as reported in the Byron Echo. The Echo regrets the error.

The Federal Park Party is one of the main events in Federal’s vibrant yearly calendar, and 2014 marks the 13th time the event has been held.

This year’s party sees the return for the third time of the Federal Park Party Dog Show.

Other favourites include the Welcome to Country opening ceremony, and local acts such as Gaby Borgardts, Wayward Nightingales, Big Hill Shakedown and a local ukelele group.

The ring of trees in Federal Park will be lined with some of the region’s favourite local market food and artisan stalls.

For the kids and teens the day will start with a busking competition with prizes, with registration for the competition from 12 noon. In the early evening Federal DJs Pob, Scotty Brimstone and Mel will provide the tunes to keep you dancing.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
