More complaints from patients have delayed the District Court arraignment of Lismore Gynaecologist Dr Glenn Allen Taylor who is currently facing 60 charges over the alleged sexual and indecent assault of 30 patients.

Dr Taylor was listed to be arraigned in Lismore District Court on Wednesday but was excused from appearing and is yet to enter a plea to the charges.

The Prosecution told Judge Jennifer English further complaints had been made against Dr Taylor and time was needed to lay further charges.

The fresh charges then have to be filed before the Local Court before they can be escalated to meet with other charges in the District Court.

Dr Taylor’s bail was continued by Judge English and his matters were adjourned until October 4.

The court has previously heard Dr Taylor is alleged to have indecently and sexually assaulted 30 former patients over a 23 year period while practising at Lismore.

Wednesday’s delay was the fifth time Dr Taylor’s matters have been adjourned due to fresh complaints to police.

Dr Taylor is expected to appear in Lismore Local Court on September 12.
