As noted in David Heilpern’s article (24 February), with drugs, whether medicinal or recreational, dosage is a critical consideration. You can have bad experiences taking magic mushrooms. If you’re not too greedy this is largely avoidable.
At the end of the mushroom stalk and in the middle of the mushroom’s hood there is a hard piece of mushroom flesh, which I am told contains strychnine, which is responsible for most people’s bum trips. Removing this piece of the mushroom usually removes the possibility of the paranoia and other negative experiences that people sometimes have.
