Permaculture is the foundation of the 30th anniversary weekend celebrations at the Djanbung Gardens over the weekend of May 25-26.
Saturday’s highlight is a Permaculture Fair and Sunday will be a Family Fun Day at the gardens which will feature Costa Georgiadis. Costa will be part of the lunch-time special on Saturday’s Permaculture Fair has a packed program of talks, workshops, Costa, as well as market stalls, displays, food and entertainment, and a special tour with the designer, Robyn Francis.

Djanbung Gardens is the vision, creation and home of Robyn who is a permaculture pioneer and globally renowned permaculture designer and educator.
‘Regenerating degraded landscapes is an exceptionally rewarding journey, and sharing the skills and inspiration for others to bring their own dreams of healing the land and building community to fruition has been my life mission,’ she explains.
Permalympics
Robyn Francis taught Costa Georgiadis permaculture in 1987 in Sydney when he was still a clean-shaven university student! (He mentions it in his nook, Costa’s World). And Costa will be getting into the full swing of events throughout the weekend and will MC the infamous afternoon of Permalympics on Sunday, May 26 that will include gumboot throwing, bamboo javelin, and the hilarious bedlam of the no-dig garden relay.
Everyone is encouraged to dress up for Sunday’s Family Fun Day so wear a fancy dress, headdress, or masks and if you’re well dressed enough you might get one of the prizes being handed out by Costa in his gnome costume. The day will conclude with live music.
