Four of the Byron Bay Table Tennis club players represented the area at the interdistrict competition held at the Goonellabah Table Tennis Stadium in mid-August.
The side had plenty of talent and included Chris Strybos, Mark Smith(c), Sunny Gibb and Matt Ostilla.
‘Unfortunately we didn’t make the final this year. It was taken out by Morton Bay with Port Macquarie the runner-up,’ Mark said.
The Byron Bay Table Tennis Club meets at the Suffolk Park Community Hall (beach end of Clifford Street) with three tables. Competition play is on Friday evenings starting at 5.30pm. Enquiries phone Joan 0408 337 277.
